Iranian, Omani FMs Exchange Views on Issues of Mutual Interest

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian foreign minister in a phone conversation with his Omani counterpart today exchanged views on issues of mutual interest, regional and international developments.

During their phone conversation, Ali Akbar Salehi and Yousuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah stressed exapnsion of the two countries' bilateral ties, as well as both governments’ strong will to further strengthen mutual cooperation.

The Omani veteran politician one more time congratulated Salehi on successful presidential election held on June 14.

Iran and Oman commemorated the 40th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral relations during a ceremony at the Iranian Foreign Ministry in Tehran on May 28.

Salehi, Under-secretary of the Omani Foreign Ministry for Diplomatic Affairs Ahmed bin Yousef bin Obaid al-Harthy, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, and a number of other Iranian and Omani officials attended the event.
