Tehran Denounces Deadly Terrorist Attack in US Orlando

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Iranian Foreign Ministry on Monday condemned the recent deadly terrorist shooting in the US city of Orlando in which 50 people were killed, and reiterated Tehran’s determination to confront terrorism.

In a statement on Monday, the Iranian foreign ministry spokesman, Hossein Jaberi Andari, said Tehran denounces the recent terrorist attack in Orlando “in line with its principled policy in condemning terrorism and its strong determination to firmly and decisively counter this ominous phenomenon.”

Earlier, the Daesh (also known as ISIL and ISIS) terrorist group claimed responsibility for a second time Monday for the shooting that killed at least 50 people at a nightclub in the US city of Orlando, Florida.

Daesh had already claimed responsibility for the attack through Amaq news agency Sunday.

A man armed with an assault rifle and pledging loyalty to Daesh killed 50 people during a celebration at Pulse nightclub in Orlando early Sunday in the deadliest mass shooting in US history.
