Iran Should Accept Loss against Italy: Saeid Marouf
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Saeid Marouf, the captain of the Iranian national volleyball team, says that the Italy deserved to win against them in the FIVB World League.
Italy defeated Iran in straight sets (25-20, 25-20, 25-21) in Tehran’s Azadi Hall on Saturday.
“We did not start the match well. We lost the first set because we played so bad. We tried hard but couldn’t overcome them. We should accept the loss,” Marouf said.
“Maybe in the future with better situation we can get closer to this Italy. This was our capacity for today."
"It was obvious that Italy can win with such good play with minor errors,” he added.
Iran will face Argentina on Sunday.
