Iran’s Persepolis Linked with Finnish Striker Kokko

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian football club Persepolis is set to sign RoPS striker Aleksandr Kokko.

The 29-year-old striker became top goalscorer of the Finnish Premier Division last season.

Persepolis is searching to find a new striker after Mehdi Taremi left the club for Turkey’s Caykur Rizespor in June.

Kokko has made five appearances for Finland U-21 in 2008-2009.

Persepolis coach Branko Ivankovic had already rejected an offer for VVV-Venlo striker Ralf Seuntjens.

Iran Professional League’s runner-up holds a training camp in Ukraine.
