Iran’s Persepolis Signs Ukrainian Pair

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s Persepolis football club completed the signing of Ukrainian players Oleksiy Polyanskyi and Volodymyr Pryyomov on Monday.

In the Persepolis’s training camp held in Ukraine in early July, team’s Croatian coach Branko Ivankovic monitored the two Metalist Kharkiv players.

Polyanskyi, 30-year-old midfielder, has joined Persepolis on a two-year contract for an undisclosed fee.

Volodymyr Pryyomov, 30-year-old striker, has also signed a two-year contract with the Reds.

Persepolis, who became runner-up at the Iran Professional League last season, is preparing for the new edition of the competition.

The 16th edition of the Iran Professional League (IPL) will kick off on July 25.
