Iran Professional League: Esteghlal Khuzestan Beats Esteghlal
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Titleholder Esteghlal Khuzestan defeated Esteghlal 2-1 in the second week of the Iran Professional League (IPL) on Sunday.
Hassan Beit Saeed was on target in the 25th minute but Kaveh Rezaei equalized the match with a header in the 78th minute.
With six minutes remaining, Beit Saeed scored the winning goal as the host went top of the table.
Elsewhere, Padideh and Siahjamegan drew 1-1 in Mashhad derby, Zobahan was held to a 1-1 draw by Saipa and Paykan and Saba shared the points in a 1-1 draw.
On Monday, Persepolis will host Foolad, Machine Sazi meet Gostaresh Foolad in Tabriz derby, newly promoted Sanat Naft play Tracto Sazi and Naft Tehran face Sepahan.
