Top French MP Warns of JCPOA Breach

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - President of French National Assembly Claude Bartolone cautioned against the “serious problems” arising from lack of commitment to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), a nuclear deal between Iran and the Group 5+1 - Russia, China, the US, Britain, France and Germany.

The JCPOA is a substantial agreement, whose improper implementation will create serious problems in the world, Bartolone said at a meeting with an Iranian parliamentarian in Tehran on Wednesday.

Expressing the hops that all parties to the nuclear deal would honor their commitments, Bartolone highlighted the importance that France attaches to the full implementation of the deal.

Carrying out Iran’s nuclear deal will have significant international impacts, he noted.

Iran and the six countries reached a conclusion over the text of the JCPOA on July 14, 2015.

The accord took effect in January 2016 and was supposed to terminate all nuclear-related sanctions against Iran all at once, but its implementation has been hampered mainly due to US policies.
