Iran Comes Fourth at Asian Beach Games
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran ended the 5th Asian Beach Games at 4th spot with 21 medals, including nine gold medals on Sunday.
The Iranian delegation won nine gold, six silver and six bronze medals in the Games.
Host Vietnam topped the medal table with 139 medals (52 gold, 44 silver and 43 bronze medals), followed by Thailand (90) and China (49) in the top three.
A total of 33 athletes represented Iran in the event.
The 5th Asian Beach Games started on September 24 in the Vietnamese city of Danang and finished on October 3.
The event brought around 3,000 Asian beach sports athletes competing in 14 sports, 22 disciplines and 172 events together.
