High-Ranking Turkish Delegation to Visit Damascus Soon
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – A group of high-ranking political officials from Turkey plan to pay a visit to the Syrian capital, Damascus, in the near future.
The Turkish political delegation will visit Damascus in a bid to hold meetings with Syria’s high-ranking officials, including President Bashar al-Assad.
They will also discuss the latest political developments and the relations between the two neighboring countries.
The head of the Turkish delegation has not been determined yet but one of the members of the Turkey’s cabinet may lead the team.
Until now, only a number of retired military officials from Turkey have made unofficial visits to Damascus.
