Sanandaj Seizes First Win at Asian Women’s Club League Handball
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian representative Sanandaj earned its first victory in the first edition of the Asian Women's Club League Handball Championship on Sunday.
The Iranian team, who was defeated against Ile, Kaysar and Almaty from Kazakhstan in its previous matches, beat Qatar’s Qatar 31-27.
Sanandaj will meet Almaty in its last match on Tuesday.
The competition is underway in Kyzylorda, Kazakhstan from October 26 to November 1.
Iran’s Samenolhojaj had also planned to partake in the competition but the participation was cancelled.
