Brazil to Deliver Military Aid to Lebanon in 2017

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Brazil will offer Lebanon further military aid in order to fortify ties between the two countries, Defense Minister Raul Jungmann said on Wednesday.

Brazilian Super Tucanos aircrafts and 16 armored vehicles will arrive in Lebanon in 2017, the minister said after meeting with his caretaker Lebanese counterpart Samir Moqbel, The Daily Star reported.

A statement issued by Moqbel's press office said that meeting focused on the current political affairs and bilateral ties between the two countries, in particular in the military field.

Moqbel told reporters that he briefed the Brazilian minister during the meeting on the challenges that Lebanon is facing, including terrorism and refugees crisis.
