TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran plans to appoint a new representative at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), an informed source disclosed on Thursday.

An informed source at the Iranian Foreign Ministry told Tasnim today that Iran will appoint new envoy to the IAEA soon.

The mission of Iran’s current Ambassador to the IAEA Ali Asqar Soltaniyeh will end on August 31.

The source predicted that the Head of the Iranian Foreign Ministry’s Disarmament Office, Reza Najafi, will replace Soltaniyeh.

"His (Najafi's) decree will be issued soon and he will be introduced to the International Atomic Energy Agency," the source stated.
