President Offers Iranian Private Sector’s Help for Togo
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani highlighted the wide-ranging technical assistance that Iranian companies can provide for Togo in developing infrastructural projects.
In a meeting with Togolese Foreign Minister Komlan Edo Robert Dussey in Tehran on Monday, President Rouhani called for efforts to familiarize the private sectors of the two countries with each other’s capabilities.
Today, Iranian companies have great capabilities in various fields, including industry, mining and infrastructural projects, the president noted.
He further assured the West African nation that Iranian enterprises can vie with major foreign companies and embark on infrastructural projects in Togo by providing higher-quality services.
For his part, the visiting diplomat hailed the amicable relations between Tehran and Lomé and their shared views, calling for the expansion of bilateral ties.
Dussey also praised as what “impressed everyone” Iran’s smart diplomacy in the course of nuclear talks with world powers, which led to a nuclear deal known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) in July 2015.
Expansion of relations with African nations in all fields is top on the agenda of Iran’s foreign policy.
President Rouhani has repeatedly stressed his administration’s interest in boosting relations with African states.
