Turkey Developing National Military, Passenger Aircraft

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Turkey is developing a military aircraft and a passenger airliner, Turkey’s Science, Industry and Technology Minister Faruk Ozlu said on Tuesday, adding that the country is also engaged in satellite development.

Additionally, Turkey has launched the project on the development of the Turksat 6A satellite, Ozlu added.

"We continue to work on the creation of national military and passenger aircraft," Ozlu was quoted as saying by the Anadolu news agency.

Speaking at the Global Satshow2 conference in Istanbul, Ozlu also mentioned successfully implemented projects on Atak strike helicopter, Hurkus training aircraft, as well as the Anka, Bayraktar and Karayel unmanned aerial vehicles, Sputnik reported.

Global Satshow2 satellite conference and exhibition is held on November 29-30 in Turkey’s city of Istanbul. It brings together industry’s main companies, presents market trends and innovations.
