Iran’s MAPNA, Indonesia’s PLN Sign MoU
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s energy and infrastructure conglomerate MAPNA has signed a cooperation agreement with PLN, a major state-owned Indonesian electricity company, a report said.
According to the report carried by Power Engineering International website on Tuesday, the Indonesian government signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with MAPNA to further increase its energy cooperation with the Islamic Republic.
The document was signed during a recent visit by Indonesia’s Energy Minister Ignasius Jonan to MAPNA’s power factories in Tehran.
MAPNA Chief Executive Abbas Aliabadi and Sofyan Basir, the president director of PLN, were also present at the signing ceremony.
Jonan toured MAPNA’s companies Turbine Engineering and Manufacturing, Generator Engineering and Manufacturing, and Turbine Blade Company, where he viewed the manufacture of gas, steam, and wind turbines, mobile power plants, generators, and turbine blades and vanes, according to the report.
MAPNA has carried out O&M (Operation & Maintenance) services in Indonesia, particularly at Belawan power plant in northern Sumatra.
The company is currently building the 3000 MW gas-fired Rumaila power plant in the holy city of Najaf, southern Iraq.
