Iran to Participate in West Asia Baseball Cup

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran will take part in the 13th West Asia Baseball Cup in Pakistan later this month.

The competition will be held in Islamabad, capital of Pakistan from February 25 to March 1.

The competition will bring over 200 players and officials from six countries together.

Iran has been drawn with Sri Lanka and India in Group B.

Host Pakistan has been pitted against Nepal and Iraq in Group A.

The Iranian team will be headed by José Miguel Cabrera Torres.

The Baseball and Softball Association of the Islamic Republic of Iran was founded in 1993.
