Envoy: IAEA’s Report Confirmation of Iran’s Compliance with JCPOA

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s Envoy to the International Atomic Energy Agency Reza Najafi underlined that the IAEA’s new report has once again confirmed that the country’s activities are within the framework of the nuclear deal signed between Tehran and world powers.

The UN nuclear agency’s new report again conformed that all of the peaceful nuclear activities of Iran are in compliance with the JCPOA (the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action), Najafi said, referring to the first report by Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency Yukiya Amano in 2017.

The Iranian diplomat further noted that the most notable issue mentioned in the report was the injection of uranium hexafluoride (UF6) into advanced domestically-manufactured centrifuges, known as IR-8.

It has confirmed the continuation of Iran’s nuclear research and development activities.

The IAEA said on January 28 that the Islamic Republic had started injecting UF6 into IR-8 centrifuge machines in an important phase of the country’s research and development plans.
