Iran to Play China in Asian Girls’ U-18 Volleyball Curtain Raiser
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran will start the 11th Asian Girls’ U-18 Volleyball Championship with a match against host China on Sunday.
The Iranian team has been pitted against China and Hong Kong in Pool A of the tournament.
The competition will be held in Chongqing, China from March 5 to 13.
The championship is the Asian qualification round for the 2017 FIVB Girls U-18 World Championship, which is due to take place in Argentina from August 18 to 27, 2017.
Only top four teams from the Asian meet will make the cut for the World Championship.
A total of 12 teams have been divided into four groups of three teams.
