Dozens of Saudi-Backed Mercenaries Killed in Yemeni Missile Attack

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Yemeni army forces and allied fighters fired a ballistic missile at the positions of Saudi-backed militants in the northwestern province of Taiz, inflicting major losses on them.

According to a report carried by Yemen’s Saba news agency on Monday, the projectile was fired at the gathering centers of the mercenaries in the port city of Mokha in Taiz.

Another missile hit the mercenaries in Jawza area, killing and wounding dozens of them and destroying two military vehicles, it added.

The attack came only hours after Saudi warplanes attacked several areas across Yemen, killing and injuring scores of innocent people.

Yemen’s defenseless people have been under massive attacks by the coalition for nearly two years but Riyadh has reached none of its objectives in Yemen so far.

Since March 2015, Saudi Arabia and some of its Arab allies have been carrying out deadly airstrikes against the Houthi Ansarullah movement in an attempt to restore power to resigned president Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi.

Nearly 11,000 Yemenis, including thousands of women and children, have lost their lives in the deadly military campaign.
