Yemenis Rally to Condemn Saudi Attacks

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – A huge crowd of people held a demonstration in Yemen’s capital of Sana’a in condemnation of the Saudi-led military attacks that have been launched against the Arab country since two years ago.

The rallies, held in Sana’a’s Bab al-Yaman neighborhood on Friday, saw thousands of people chanting slogans against the Saudi-led coalition and the US hostile policies against people of Yemen.

Demonstrators also expressed outrage at the international community’s muted response to the Saudi crimes against people of Yemen.

In a communiqué at the conclusion of the rally, demonstrators reaffirmed commitment to standing against the Saudi offensive and defending their land in the face of aggressors.

Since March 2015, Saudi Arabia and some of its Arab allies have been launching deadly airstrikes on Yemen in an attempt to restore power to the fugitive former President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, a close ally of Riyadh.

Nearly 11,000 Yemenis, including women and children, have lost their lives in the deadly military campaign.
