Palestine Issue Solution Important Condition for Mideast Stability: Putin
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The most important condition for stabilization of the situation in the Middle East is the resolution of the long-standing Palestinian problem, Russian President Vladimir Putin said in his greeting to the participants in the pan-Arab summit published on the Kremlin's website.
So far, 135 out of the 193 UN member states recognize the State of Palestine.
"We believe that the most important condition for the long-term stabilization of the regional situation is the resolution of the long-standing Palestinian problem," Putin said, Sputnik reported.
Palestinians seek to restore their territories, including the occupied East al-Quds (East Jerusalem), and the Gaza Strip. Israel has been building settlements on the occupied lands.
