Asian Junior Taekwondo Championships: Iran Takes Four More Medals

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian taekwondo practitioners claimed four more medals in the 2017 Asian Junior Taekwondo Championships on Thursday.

In the -73kg category, Iran’s Mohammadhossein Yazdani beat Korean Jin Myung 21-18 and won the gold medal.

Ahmadreza Mokhtari won the silver medal in the -68kg after losing to Myung Jin Kang from South Korea.

And Zahra Alizadeh claimed a gold medal in the -46kg category after defeating her South Korean in the final match.

On Wednesday, Iran’s Mobina Nejad Katesari and Zahra Shojaei won two gold medals and Mahla Momenzadeh and Hamidreza Sadri seized two silver medals.

A total of 246 taekwondo practitioners from 22 countries participate in the Asian Junior Taekwondo Championships underway in Atyrau, Kazakhstan.
