Several Saudi Mercenaries, Servicemen Killed in Yemeni Forces’ Attacks

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Yemeni army and popular committees, in retaliatory attacks against the Saudi-led coalition forces, managed to target and kill several servicemen and mercenaries of the Riyadh regime inside and outside of the Arabian Peninsula country.

The Yemeni defense minister said the country’s forces hit the gatherings of Saudi servicemen in two military bases in Asir region in southern Saudi Arabia, the Arabic-language Al Mayadeen TV reported.

In another attack by the Yemeni army and Popular Committees, a number of mercenaries of the fugitive former President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, a close ally of Riyadh, were killed in Nihm district in northeastern suburbs of the capital, Sana’a.

Three other mercenaries were also shot to death by the Yemeni troops in Taiz Province in southwestern parts of the Arab country, according to the report.

The attacks against Saudi forces came in retaliation for the continued massacre of civilians and destruction of Yemen’s infrastructure by the coalition led by the Saudi regime.

Yemen’s defenseless people have been under massive attacks by the coalition for more than two years but Riyadh has reached none of its objectives in Yemen so far.

Since March 2015, Saudi Arabia and some of its Arab allies have been carrying out deadly airstrikes against the Houthi Ansarullah movement in an attempt to restore power to Hadi.

Over 12,000 Yemenis, including thousands of women and children, have lost their lives in the deadly military campaign.
