Islamic Solidarity Games: Iranian Para Athletes Claim Silver, Bronze
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian para athletes Javid Ehsani Shakib and Javad Dalakeh won two medals at the Islamic Solidarity Games on Tuesday.
Ehsani Shakib came second in Men’s Shot Put F57 after throwing 13.74 meters.
Dalakeh seized the bronze medal with a throw of 13.06 meters.
Samir Nabiyev from Azerbaijan won the gold medal with a throw of 13.95m.
More than 3,000 athletes from 54 countries of the Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation are competing in 21 sports at the Games.
The Baku 2017 Islamic Solidarity Games started May 8 and will last until May 22 in Azerbaijan’s capital.
