Yemeni Forces Mount Missile Attacks against Saudi Forces in Najran

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Yemeni army announced that it has launched missile attacks on the positions of Saudi forces coalition in the kingdom’s southwestern province of Najran and inflicted heavy casualties on them.

The missile command of the Yemeni army said the Arabian Peninsula country’s forces pounded several bases of the Saudi military in Najran, the Arabic-language Al Mayadeen reported on Wednesday.

In another operation, four mercenaries of the Saudi regime were killed following the explosion of a bomb planted by the Yemeni army and Popular Committees also in Najran province.

According to the report, a military source said dozens of the mercenaries of the fugitive former President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, a close ally of Riyadh, were also killed in Yemen’s southwestern province of Taiz.

The attacks by the Yemeni forces were carried out in retaliation for the continued massacre of civilians by a Saudi-led coalition in Yemen.

Since March 25, 2015, Saudi Arabia and some of its Arab allies have been carrying out airstrikes against the Houthi Ansarullah movement in an attempt to restore power to Hadi.

According to Yemen’s Legal Center of Rights and Development, the Saudi campaign has claimed the lives of over 12,000 Yemenis and left more than 20,000 others wounded.
