Iran’s Sarmayeh Bank Comes Sixth at Asian Women’s Club Volleyball Championship

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Sarmayeh Bank of Iran lost to Chinese Taipei’s Taiwan Power 3-1 (25-20, 18-25, 25-20, 25-12) and earned sixth place of the 2017 Asian Women’s Club Volleyball Championship at the Boris Alexandrov Sports Palace on Wednesday.

Wan-Ling Tseng provided a solid performance, picking up 23 points from 18 attacks and five blocks for the Taiwan Power.

Sarmayeh Bank had already defeated Taiwan Power 3-1 in group stage.

Supreme Chonburi of Thailand will face Hisamitsu Springs from Japan in the final match.

The competition is being held in Ust-Kamenogorsk, Kazakhstan from May 25 to 31.

The tournament will serve as the Asian qualifiers for the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship with the champion qualifying for the world championship.
