Iran Never Gave Up against Brazil: Igor Kolakovic

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran coach Igor Kolakovic said his men never gave up against Brazil in the 2017 FIVB World League.

Iran lost to Brazil 3-1 (21-25, 25-19, 25-22, 25-22) in a Group 1 game Saturday night.

“It was a balanced game from the beginning through to the end. All the sets were played point for point. In the last set, Brazil was always in the lead, but we never gave up and fought for every point,” Kolakovic said.

“Tomorrow (on Sunday), against Poland, it is going to be another difficult match for us. We’ve played against the Olympic champion and the Olympic vice champion, and we are going to play against the world champion... I will be happy if we are on the same level as we were against Brazil,” he added.
