Iran’s Zarif to Go to Paris on Thursday

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif is scheduled to pay a visit to the French capital, Paris, on Thursday on the third leg of his European tour, a spokesman announced.

According to Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qassemi, Zarif will meet senior French officials during his visit to discuss regional developments and bilateral ties.

“Looking into the most important bilateral, regional, and international issues are top on the agenda,” he said.

The top Iranian diplomat visited Berlin and held talks with senior German officials on Tuesday and later sat down with top Italian officials in Rome on Wednesday.

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has repeatedly stressed that the promotion of Tehran’s relations with European countries can help enhance regional security.
