Hostile Moves Receive Iran’s Scathing Reaction: General
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - A top Iranian general warned the enemies that the Islamic Republic employs whatever capabilities at its disposal, including missiles, to respond to the hostile plots.
Any vicious plan to damage Iran will meet with a crushing response, Head of the Strategic Research Center of the General Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi told Tasnim.
“We will use the whole equipment we have, including the missiles, in case of any aggression against our security,” the former Iranian defense minister added.
He also described a recent missile attack conducted by the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps against the positions of terrorists in Syria as a small part of Iran’s capabilities.
The missile attack was a warning to all those contemplating violation of Iran’s security and threatening its national interests, the general stressed.
On June 18, the IRGC fired six mid-range missile from its bases in Iran’s western provinces of Kermanshah and Kurdistan at the positions of terrorists in Deir ez-Zor. The raid was made in retaliation for a recent terrorist attack in Tehran claimed by the Daesh (ISIL) terrorist group.
In a statement on June 21, the IRGC said more than 170 Daesh terrorists, including several ringleaders, were killed in the missile raid.
