Sarmayeh Bank Wins Asian Club Volleyball Championship

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Sarmayeh Bank claimed the title of the 2017 Asian Men's Club Volleyball Championship on Thursday for the second time in a row.

The Iranian team defeated Toyoda Gosei Trefuerza from Japan in straight sets (39–37, 25-14, 25-23) in the tournament’s final match.

Al Arabi of Qatar beat Kazakhstan’s Altay 3-1 (25–22, 13–25, 20–25, 19–25) in the bronze medal match.

The 2017 Asian Men's Club Volleyball Championship was the 18th staging of the AVC Club Championships.

The tournament was held in Ninh Bình and Nam Dinh, Vietnam from 28 June to 6 July 2017. The champion (Sarmayeh Bank) qualified for the 2018 Club World Championship as Asia's representative.
