Iran Middle Blocker Mousavi Linked with Halkbank

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian international middle blocker Seyed Mohammad Mousavi has been linked with a move to Halkbank Ankara volleyball team.

Mousavi, who currently plays for Iran’s Sarmayeh Bank, has caught the eye of Iran former coach Slobodan Kovac.

The 29-year-old volleyball player won the title of the 2017 Asian Men's Club Volleyball Championship in early July with Sarmayeh Bank.

Mousavi participated in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Halkbank Ankara is a professional men's volleyball team based in Ankara, Turkey and sponsored by the state-owned Halkbank.

It was founded in 1983 and plays in the Turkish Men's Volleyball League and in the CEV Champions League. Halkbank is ranked 8th (as of October 2016) in the Men's European clubs ranking.
