World Para Athletics Championships: Iran’s Mohsen Majidi Wins Bronze

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Mohsen Majidi Jamalabadi from Iran snatched a bronze medal at the 2017 World Para Athletics Championships on Saturday.

The Iranian athlete came third in the men's discus throw F37 after throwing 52.75m.

The gold medal went to Khusniddin Norbekov from Uzbekistan who threw 54.73m.

Australia’s Guy Henly won the silver medal with a throw of 53.59m.

Iran’s shot putter Javad hardani won a silver medal on Friday.

The World Para Athletics Championships will run through to 23 July. More than 1,150 athletes from 90 countries are competing in 202 medal events.
