Iran Beats Ukraine at Atlas Basketball Challenge
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran started the third edition of the Atlas Basketball Challenge with a win over Ukraine.
Team Melli (national team) defeated Ukraine 78-68 in Group A.
Host China is in Group A alongside Belarus, Ukraine and Iran.
Qatar has drawn Group B along with Australia, Lithuania and USA.
The championship will be played over six days at the Suzhou Sports Center and the Dushu Lake Arena.
Iran will face Belarus on Wednesday.
The Atlas challenge is a good warm-up for the FIBA Asia Cup in Lebanon next month and the Word Cup qualifiers in November.
