TV Channel Launched to Oppose Referendum in Iraqi Kurdistan Region
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - A new Kurdish channel named 'No for Now' has launched its broadcast over Nilesat satellite in the Iraqi Kurdistan Region as part of a broader effort to opposed a planned referendum for independence in the autonomous region.
The movement 'No for Now' on the referendum over the independence of Kurdistan has opened the channel. The full launch of the channel will be in the near future, Nalia Radio and Television (NRT) based in the Kurdistan region of Iraq reported.
The frequency of the 'No for Now' channel on the Nilesat platform will be (12521 – 27500 – V).
The Movement of 'No for Now' is expected to be announced by a number of figures, intellectuals and civil activists, working to encourage people to vote “No” in the referendum on independence of Kurdistan.
During an interview with NRT’s Tawtwe program on July 25, Nalia Company owner and founder Shaswar Abdulwahid, announced a new movement to launch the campaign 'No for Now' over the Kurdistan Region’s referendum on independence, set for September 25.
