Iran’s Hassan Yazdani Moves to Top of UWW Rankings
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian freestyler Hassan Yazdani Charati moved to the top of the middleweight rankings, released by United World Wrestling (UWW) on Tuesday.
Rio 2016 gold medalist at 74kg Yazdani regained the No.1 ranking – but, this time, at 86kg.
Dauren Kurugliev from Russia is second and Azerbaijan’s Aleksander Gostiev is third in the weight class.
Another Iranian wrestler Hassan Rahimi, the Rio 2016 bronze medalist, moved down to third place in the 57kg weight class.
Giorgi Edisherashvili from the Azerbaijan Republic moved to the top of the 57kg rankings and Turkey’s Suleyman Atli is third.
