Iranian MPs to Discuss Anti-US Bill after Vote on Ministerial Picks

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – A motion on countering the United States’ terrorist measures in the region will be put to the vote for ratification in Iran’s Parliament after an upcoming series of sessions for debates on ministerial nominees, a lawmaker said.

Speaking to Tasnim on Thursday, rapporteur of the Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Hossein Naqavi Hosseini said the motion on countering “US adventurous and terrorist measures in the region” has been already passed by the parliamentary commission.

The Parliament is going to vote on the motion as soon as it completes the process of confirming the ministerial nominees, he added.

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on Tuesday submitted the list of his proposed ministerial picks to the Parliament for a vote of confidence, four days after his swearing-in ceremony.
