FIVB Volleyball World Championship Qualification: Iran Beats S. Korea

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran started the FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship qualification on a high note on Friday.

Igor Kolakovic’s men defeated South Korea in 3-0 (25-10, 27-25, 25-18) in Pool A in Ardabil’s 6,000-seater Rezazadeh Gymnasium.

Team Melli will play China on Saturday in its second match.

The FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship qualification has brought five teams, namely Iran, South Korea, China, Qatar and Kazakhstan together.

The top two teams in each pool will qualify for the 2018 World Championship.

Japan and Australia have already booked their place in the championship as the Pool B top two finishers.
