Latest Massacre of Yemenis Reveals Saudis’ True Colors: Houthi Leader

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The secretary general of Yemen’s Houthi Ansarullah movement condemned a Saudi-led coalition airstrike that killed dozens of civilians near the Yemeni capital of Sana’a, saying the crime revealed the true face of “the enemy”.

In remarks released on Wednesday, Abdul-Malik Badreddin al-Houthi said the Saudi atrocity in Arhab, 35 kilometers (22 miles) north of Sana’a, revealed “the enemy’s true face, approaches, and plots”, the Arabic-language Al Mayadeen reported.

He further emphasized that all Yemeni groups, including Ansarullah and its allies, should exercise vigilance against Saudi plots to sow discord among Yemenis.

According to media reports, the Saudi-led coalition airstrike on Wednesday hit a hotel in Arhab, killing 48 people, including dozens of civilians, and injuring many others.

Yemen’s defenseless people have been under massive attacks by the coalition for more than two years but Riyadh has reached none of its objectives in Yemen so far.

Since March 2015, Saudi Arabia and some of its Arab allies have been carrying out deadly airstrikes against the Houthi Ansarullah movement in an attempt to restore power to fugitive former President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, a close ally of Riyadh.

Over 12,000 Yemenis, including thousands of women and children, have lost their lives in the deadly military campaign.
