Saudi Regime Has Zero Tolerance for Dissident Voices: US Analyst

“The Saudi government is inherently authoritarian and religiously fanatical and intolerant of everybody and anybody who is not their brand of Wahhabi-Salafist,” Scott Bennett, from San Francisco, told the Tasnim News Agency.

Scott Bennett is a US Army Special Operations Officer (11th Psychological Operations Battalion, Civil Affairs-Psychological Operations Command), and a global psychological warfare-counterterrorism analyst, formerly with defense contractor Booz Allen Hamilton. He received a Direct Commission as an Officer, held a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (TS/SCI) security clearance, and worked in the highest levels of international counterterrorism in Washington DC and MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida. He has developed and managed psychological warfare theories, products, and operations for US Special Operations Command, US Central Command, the State Department Coordinator for Counterterrorism, and other government agencies.

The following is the full text of the interview.

Tasnim: As you know Saudi military bulldozers have almost razed Awamiyah to the ground amid the deadly crackdown on the besieged Shiite town, forcing hundreds of its residents to flee their homes. Recently, they demolished a Shiite mosque there. What is the aim of the systematic Shiite killings?

Bennet: The Saudi military objective in this war overall is to psychologically crush and intimidate any opposition or independence towards the Saudi government. The Saudi government is inherently authoritarian and religiously fanatical and intolerant of everybody and anybody who is not their brand of Wahhabi-Salafist. The Saudi government intends to terrorize the Yemeni people and also its own people in Awamiyah to the point where they either capitulate and submit to their destruction or slavery, or flee. There is no compassion in the Saudi ideology, politics, and religious instruction.

Consequently, the Saudi government views the Shiite community in Yemen and in Awamiyah as “subhuman” and not worthy of any kind of humane or decent treatment. Ironically, the Saudi government follows the same methodology as the Israeli regime and their oppressive torture and enslavement of the Palestinian people, which is now coming under increasing United Nations pressure as voices rise demanding the lifting of the sea embargo against Gaza.

Tasnim: How much do you think the Wahhabi ideology is behind this genocide?

Bennet: The Saudi Wahhabi ideology animates Saudi government policy, legal oppression of its people, and its international military actions. Essentially, the Saudi Wahhabi ideology seeks to dominate the tribes and nations of man, through both soft power and military power.  It does this by invading Western European countries and America through refugee, migrant, and immigration systems, and then using the legal and social institutions to both expand its influence on the nation's population, and silence and prosecute any critics of Wahhabism. The Al Qaeda manuals on military doctrine communicate this strategy explicitly. We also see the result of this strategy in countries like Sweden, where the Swedish government recently declared that there are now “61 no-go zones” in Sweden, where the police will not enter, and that is overflowing with crime, violence, and Wahhabi religious extremism and intolerance. Additionally, the Wahhabi mosques command followers that “no Muslim integration into society” is allowed, which is based on the Wahhabi perversion and corruption of the Koran and the Sunna, and commanding Wahhabi Muslims, “Make no friend with the Jew or Christian, but deceive them in every strategy of war.” (Sura)

The Saudi government also seeks to influence the US and European military commands by establishing Wahhabism as the dominant Muslim voice and tries to brand any other Islamic belief as “an aberration”, unorthodox, and a false cult.

The Wahhabi ideology is fascist and authoritarian and seeks to force human being to either 1) submit and convert to their Wahhabi religious perversion of Islam; or 2) submit to the slave jinzi tax; or 3) submit to the head-chopping block and be executed. The Saudi government and royal family have secured their political and military power in the Arabian Peninsula through selling oil to the United States and Europe, and buying billions of dollars worth of US and European weapons.  These weapons then are used in the Saudi war against Yemen, as well as in their mercenary expansions into Syria and Libya.

Tasnim: There has been a media blackout about the fatalities there. Why?

Bennet: The media blackout is a confirmation of the bribery that has been corrupting the media, universities, and politicians in Western countries. The West has become increasingly schizophrenic and delusional in its political identity and culture and philosophical orientation, and this has led to a crisis of truth. There is a refusal both to examine the Saudi genocide on Yemen and Qatif, in fear that the entire Western military adventurism which started in 2001 will come to a crashing end. The West is fearful that if the native populations discover the hypocrisy and lies and genocidal policy which has been implemented by Western politicians and governments and military leaders in the name of “freedom and democracy”, the West will fall into severe political turbulence and potential civil war. The only countries which have been fearless in telling the truth about the Saudi genocide in Yemen, has been the Russia, Iran, China, and Venezuela; and for this they have been targeted for regime change by the US-British spy agencies and military establishment.

Tasnim: The latest developments in the Shiite-populated city came after a transition of power and after the new crown prince Mohammed Bin Salman took the helm of power in the Arabian Peninsula country. What do you think? Kindly explain.

Bennet: Mohammed Bin Salman’s forced take-over of power in the Saudi Royal family and government marks the rise of a new kind of dictator: dangerously ignorant, arrogant, and corrupt.

He is dangerously ignorant because he has abused and twisted Wahhabism to justify a reckless international policy against Qatar, Libya, and Syria. He has also over-extended his regime’s reputation and its military forces and commanded both to engage in attacks that can, and hopefully soon will, be defined and prosecuted as “international war crimes of genocide.” He is ignorant to the fact that Saudi Wahhabi fanatics invading Libya, Europe, and Syria, will be eventually fully discovered by the Western populations and this will result in an expulsion and violent rejection of Wahhabism and Saudi Arabia as a whole.  This backlash may then incite a dangerously unstable political environment for Mohammed Bin Salman and a coup d’état or regime change will result.

Mohammed Bin Salman is also dangerously arrogant because he believes the western populations are irredeemably ignorant and blind, and will never discover the hypocrisy and wickedness and genocidal violence of the Wahhabi ideology and the political fascism of the Saudi government. This inclines him to recklessly engage in military and economic spending and deepen the oppression of both people living in Saudi Arabia and the Yemen people, simply because he arrogantly believes America, Britain, and Europe will continue to support and finance the Saudi government.

Mohammed Bin Salman is also dangerously corrupt because he is distorting and perverting the name of Islam with the poisonous lies of Wahhabism, and desecrating the name and mercy of the Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him).  Mohammed Bin Salman is instructing his military to murder and destroy, and will be held eternally accountable for both those people in Yemen he murders, and the souls of his military who will also be held accountable for their actions.  Bin Salman is selling the soul of his people—and destroying the reputation of Islam in the eyes of many non-Muslims—through his worship of the money and protection given to him by the United States and Europe, in exchange for Saudi Arabian oil. Inevitably, however, both will soon run out.
