Iran VP Sends Congratulatory Messages to Slovakia, Mali

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s vice-president, in separate messages on Tuesday, congratulated the Malian prime minister on his election, and felicitated the government and nation of Slovakia on the European country’s National Day.

In his message to Malian new Prime Minister Oumar Tatam, Iranian First Vice-President Eshaq Jahangiri expressed the hope that the African premier’s term in office would usher in peace and calm in Mali.

He also hoped for further expansion of ties between Tehran and Bamako in all fields of mutual interest.

And in a separate message to Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico, Jahangiri congratulated the European Republic on the occasion of the 21st anniversary of its National Day on September 1.

“I hope that we witness the increasing expansion of relations between the two countries with the use of the existing widespread capacities in economic, political and cultural fields,” part of the message read.
