Obama Postpones Malaysian Visit to Address Gov’t Shutdown

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – US President Barack Obama postponed his upcoming visit to Malaysia this month following the partial shutdown of government.

Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak said Wednesday that Obama has postponed his upcoming visit to Malaysia this month following the partial shutdown of government.

Najib was quoted as saying by local media that US Secretary of State John Kerry will visit Malaysia as the representative of Obama, Xinhua reported.

Obama was scheduled to visit Malaysia and attend the Global Entrepreneurship Summit in Kuala Lumpur during his trip to Southeast Asia this month, which also includes the APEC Summit in Bali, Indonesia and the ASEAN Summit in Brunei.
