Yemeni Forces Repel Massive Attacks by Saudi Mercenaries near Sana'a

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - The forces of the Yemeni army and Popular Committees managed to repulse massive attacks by the Saudi regime mercenaries northeast of the Yemeni capital, Sana’a.

The Yemeni forces stopped fugitive former President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi's mercenaries in al-Manara and Eydah areas in Nihm district, northeast of Sana’a for the third consecutive days, Lebanon's Arabic-language Al Mayadeen TV network reported.

Saudi-led coalition fighter jets and its artilleries supported the Hadi's mercenaries in the operation but the Yemeni forces brought them to a halt and killed and injured a number of them, a Yemeni military source said.

Yemen’s defenseless people have been under massive attacks by the coalition for more than two and half years but Riyadh has reached none of its objectives in Yemen so far.

Since March 2015, Saudi Arabia and some of its Arab allies have been carrying out deadly airstrikes against the Houthi Ansarullah movement in an attempt to restore power to fugitive former president Abdrabbuh Mansour Hadi, an ally of Riyadh.

Over 12,000 Yemenis, including thousands of women and children, have lost their lives in the deadly military campaign.
