Emre Can, Nuri Sahin to Raise Money for Iranian Quake Victims

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Liverpool midfielder Emre Can and Dortmund star Nuri Sahin are raising money for the victims of Iran deadly earthquake.

The players have jointly published posts on their Instagram pages, asking the people to help the victims of the 7.3 magnitude quake. The full text of their message is as follows:

“There was a major earthquake in the Iran-Iraq area which has claimed 430 lives with more than 6,000 people injured.

According to Iranian aid agencies, as many as 70,000 people are now dependent on makeshift emergency shelters.

Because of the cold weather, those survivors are dependent on urgent relief which can only be provided with the help of donations from the public.

We ask for any donations to be sent to the account below using the following reference: "Earthquake West Iran" as well as your full name and address.

Tax-deductible confirmations will be provided immediately for all donations.

Any money received will be forwarded directly to trusted local people who have started a private initiative.
