IPL: Persepolis Beats Sanat Naft
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Persepolis football team defeated Sanat Naft Abadan thanks to a brace from Ali Alipour on Monday.
In the match held at Tehran’s Azadi Stadium in front of 10,000 spectators, the Iran Professional League (IPL) leader beat the Abadan based team 2-0.
Alipour was on target in the 70th minute and made it 2-0 in the 88th minute.
“We were exhausted in the final minutes of the match and conceded two goals,” Sanat Naft coach Faraz Kamalvand said in the post-match news conference.
Persepolis moved seven points clear of Pars Jonoubi at top of the IPL table.
