Iran Football Team to Play Uzbekistan in Friendly
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – A friendly football match between the national teams of Iran and Uzbekistan is to be played at the Azadi Stadium in Tehran.
The match has been scheduled to take place on May 18.
Iran defeated Uzbekistan twice in the 2018 World Cup qualification in Group A.
Team Melli has been drawn with Spain, Portugal and Morocco in Group B of the 2018 World Cup.
Carlos Queiroz’s team is determined to advance to the next stage for the first time.
Team Melli has never gotten past the group stage in four World Cup appearances.
