IPL: Ali Alipour Gives Persepolis Late Win
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Ali Alipour scored a stoppage-time goal as Persepolis football team snatched all three points in a 1-0 win over Siahjamegan on Friday.
Alipour found the back of the net in the dying moments of the match, sweeping Vahid Amiri’s subtle cross at the Samen Stadium in Mashhad.
Title-holder Persepolis has bagged 44 points from 19 matches in Iran Professional League (IPL).
Furthermore, IPL second-placed Foolad was held by Gostarsh Foolad 1-1 in Tabriz, Sepahan lost to Zob Ahan 2-1 in Isfahan derby and Pars Jonoubi remained third after drawing 1-1 with Sanat Naft in Abadan. Also Esteghlal was held by Saipa 1-1 in a match held at Tehran Azadi stadium.
