Yemeni Ballistic Missile Destroys Saudi Military Site

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Yemeni forces launched a missile attack against an operations center of the Saudi military in the kingdom’s border province of Najran.

The missile command of the Yemeni army fired a Qaher M2 missile at the center, the Arabic-language Al-Manar television network reported.

The missile hit the center, located in the Khadhra crossing point in Najran, and completely destroyed it, the report added.

A few days ago, another ballistic missile fired by Yemen’s army had hit a local airport in Saudi Arabia’s southern Jizan region.

The forces of the Arabian Peninsula country have hit Saudi positions with various homegrown missiles, including “Qaher-1”, which has a range of 500 kilometers, and “Borkan-1”.

The attacks are carried out in retaliation for the Saudi-led coalition’s continued airstrikes against the impoverished Arabian Peninsula country.

Since March 25, 2015, Saudi Arabia and some of its Arab allies have been carrying out airstrikes against the Houthi Ansarullah movement in an attempt to restore power to fugitive former president Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, a close ally of Riyadh.

Over 14,000 Yemenis, including thousands of women and children, have lost their lives in the deadly military campaign.
