Saudi Jets Kill, Injure over 17 Civilians in Yemen’s Sa'ada

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Saudi warplanes continued their relentless military aggression against Yemen and targeted residential areas in northwestern Sa'ada province, leaving at least 17 people dead and injured.

Saudi military aircraft on Tuesday targeted Monabbih district in Sa’ada and killed 13 Yemenis and injured three others there, according to al-Masirah television network.

The kingdom’s jets also bombarded Safra neighborhood of the province, killing two other Yemenis in the northwestern province.

The casualties came hours after nine civilians, including four children, lost their lives in Saudi aerial assaults on Sa’ada’s Razeh district.

Yemen’s defenseless people have been under massive attacks by the coalition for nearly three years but Riyadh has reached none of its objectives in Yemen so far.

Since March 2015, Saudi Arabia and some of its Arab allies have been carrying out deadly airstrikes against the Houthi Ansarullah movement in an attempt to restore power to fugitive former president Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, a close ally of Riyadh.

Over 14,000 Yemenis, including thousands of women and children, have lost their lives in the deadly military campaign.
