Iran Advances to Indoor Hockey World Cup Semis
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran qualified for the 2018 Indoor Hockey World Cup semi-final after beating Czech Republic.
Team Melli beat the Czech Republic 2-1 on a shoot-out after a 2-2 draw and will face European champion Germany in the semis.
Australia will meet Austria in another semifinal.
The 2018 Men's Indoor Hockey World Cup is the fifth edition of this tournament and played from 7 to 11 February 2018 in Berlin, Germany.
The Netherlands is the reigning champion, but is not expected to be able to defend its title due to its poor performance at the 2016 European Indoor Championship.
