Iranian Duo Win Awards at AFC Futsal Championship
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian duo Ali Asghar Hassanzadeh and Hossein Tayebi won two prestigious awards in the 2018 AFC Futsal Championship.
Team Melli captain Hassanzadeh played a key role in the competition, helping Iran wins the title with 12 goals.
He was named the competition’s Most Valuable Player (MVP) at the end of the tournament.
Hassanzadeh scored two important goals for Iran in the final match against japan, where the Persians defeated the Samurai Blue 4-0 in Taipei on Sunday.
Tayebi also became the competition’s best goalscorer with 14 goals and paved the way for Iran to win its 12th title out of 15 editions.
